It's Halloween!

Happy Hallows Eve everyone! This year Halloween (unfortunately) fell on midterms week meaning I didn't have much time to put together a costume but no worries! There is always something in your closet that can become a costume! I definitely went to the mall this morning before class and bought this shirt haha. But otherwise, everything else was from my own closet!

From my feet going upwards to my head...
My shoes are from madewell and I love these so much! I fell in love with them so much that I have them in two colors: red and black.
The socks were from an old costume a couple years back, I think I was a nurse of some sort... But anyway, these thigh high socks are from the spirit halloween store (around $5).
The skirt is actually from J. Crew last season and you'll actually see me wear this skirt quite often in the winter time. I also loved this piece so much I have it in two colors (pink and navy blue).
My cute red and white crop top I found at Forever 21 for under $10 and I could definitely re-wear this piece with high-waisted anything!
Though Waldo's beanie is red and white striped- I made do with what I had and what I had was a red beanie! This piece is actually a men's beanie I found at H&M last season and since my favorite color is red, I had to have it! I'm glad it came in handy for Halloween :)

So many stripes!

Hiding behind alleyways and stairs!

Close up :) These are my real glasses!

Bow shoes (I can totally see this being used for a Dorothy from Wizard of Oz costume!)

Lumberjack Layers.

It's the end of the Fall and it has been super windy in San Francisco! For me, I get cold super easily so I love love love layers! Felt like a lumberjack with my three layers for warmth hahaha. It was so windy I felt like the trees were going to get blown away! I thought I might savor the last few days of Fall before Winter comes along and I go into hibernation mode.
I wanted to make sure I kept toasty with all my layers so I went with a cotton high low quarter sleeve from zara, a plaid button up from a&f, and a denim jacket from luckybrand. Since I was going to work, comfort is key so my bottoms were stretchy legging pants from h&m. These booties from shoe dazzle are super cute and would definitely be great for a casual night out or date night! They are definitely going to be a new favorite of mine :)

Pants on Fire.

Super comfy and warm!

Cheetah & Fringe

These hot pants are super comfy and definitely the pop of color I want to end the Fall season with a bang. I love the dark and light contrast (& I've been in love with orange lately in case you guys haven't noticed) and wanted to go with a city-girl type of look today. The classic button under sweater is a great way to tone down these bottoms and keep warm in SF. The pant and the sweater are both from jcrew (one of my favorite places for style steals) and the button up is from abercrombie.
I wanted to keep the look simple with a jeweled necklace from the jcrew outlet and gold watch from michaelkors. Topped it off with some comfy cheetah keds (mine are a bit worn :( ), a fringe yellow purse I got on sale from nordstromrack, and I am ready to go exploring in the beautiful city of San Francisco!

I've got the Blues!

Dark blue, light blue, colbalt blue. What can I say? Seems that I've got the blues! Indian summer in San Francisco definitely passed by way too quickly but at least we had a week of sunshine :) This look was inspired by SF's own indian summer. Since it's (usually) windy and gloomy, I chose to go with different shades of blue (even my pants are a really dark blue) to showcase the weather of SF.
Here I'm wearing a lace crop top from nordstrom with a luckybrand light denim jacket to contrast the dark outfit. Pair it with a high waisted anything (I went with pants from brandymelville) and you've got yourself a great outfit for a nice dinner or drinks after work!
The triangle earrings, cross necklace, and strappy heels I'm wearing are all from charlotterusse! They have THE most perfect accessories for any occasion from casual to dressy!
& of course, photos by the awesome ryanbyryanchua :)

Lazy Sundays!

Lounging is THE best way to spend Sundays (in my personal opinion). Why not spend Sundays in a pair of comfy sweats and a tshirt?
I went with a super simple outfit for Sunday and wore a grayish-black helmutlang sweat pants with a bright neon yellow t-shirt from FCUK. Fitted sweats are a great way to stay stylish while still giving your outfit a little something special- I already have three pairs! To rest my tired feet from the long week, I chose high top sneakers from maje that had minor reptile print detailing which seems to be prevalent in their Fall 2013 collection.
This look could definitely be paired with any type of sneakers or if you're going for super casual look, a pair of flip flops! Opposite to that, you could dress it up with a pair of black kitten heels as well for a trendy street style look.

Roar!

Inspired by Katy Perry's (relatively) new song "Roar"(heard here). I decided to wear my fierce charlotte russe tank and the bcbg moto jacket which I absolutely love. The sleeve detail was perfect for the effortless, intense look I wanted to achieve. The necklace, also from bcbg wasn't shown on the website, but I did happen to find it in stores- it's a bold statement necklace that reminded me of claws of a feline so I decided it'd be a great touch for the outfit. Paired with sky high heels by Jessica Simpson I got from nordstrom rack and a simple pair of "second skin skinny jeans" by 7 for all mankind- this look would be stunning for a girls night out or a concert!
Did a little something different with my hair & makeup- went with a high-poof ponytail & a smoky eye to complete the look of a female feline in charge.

Looks like claws :)

Little Black Dress!

Not many people have heard of the brand MAJE but it's actually quite cute! The brand is based in Paris, France and actually has a sister store named SANDRO. I've been quite into their stuff recently so I thought I'd post my favorite MAJE dress here!
This little black dress can be dressed up or down. I decided to do a more casual street wear look with minimal accessories and some strappy cheetah heels to play it up a bit. The giant zipper and the school girl pleats were such a cute detail to this dress. The neoprene material forms great to any body shape and really gives the skirt a firm fit-n-flare at the bottom!

Suspenders, Leather, & Plaid!

Leather detailing is such a great detail to add to simple looks such as this one! The plaid shirt with the leather pocket detailing is so versatile and a great look to this season- I love it! This look could definitely be done with a smaller mens button up as well; I find that mens button ups seem to have more variety of prints than women's button ups.

This MAJE leather skirt with suspenders was such a cute detail to add to a simple skirt, I felt like it really brought the outfit together! It could be dressed up with some heels or boots (booties too!) but I decided to keep it casual with a pair of sandro sneakers to make it fun and comfortable. :)

Tucked in the button up for a lumberjack look!

Girls Night Out!

This dress is perfect for a girls night out! Stripes, mesh, and circle skirts are totally trending right now and this has it all- the black and white definitely complement each other in this fun dress :)
The outfit was paired with a simple black clutch and my go-to suede black heels!
Of course, everything I wore was from the awesome charlotte russe! Always cheap & super chic!

Orange is the new black.

Wanted to try something different today!
The reptile pants were amazing! Simple & black, but the print definitely brought the whole outfit together (amazing zipper detail too). I decided to pair it up with a flowy bright orange top that had leather detailing on the sleeve and cute suede heels. To make it a bit more for the Fall season and casual, I threw on a beanie. And to top it all off I grabbed a twisty clutch that matched perfectly with the top! :)

Sparkly Diamonds

Look # 3 from Charlotte Russe!
This dress might have been THE most sparkly dress I've ever put on. It is definitely perfect for nights where you want your presence to be known in the room- for sure a head turner. :) I loved the subtle sweetheart neckline and the pink and silver diamonds are super bright and will definitely catch some attention!

Dress & shoes from Charlotte Russe :)

Pair it with a pair of strappy nude heels (pictured below) or a nude pump and you're good to go!

2 more looks from Charlotte Russe!

Two more looks from Charlotte Russe!

I love the off-the-shoulder look with the giant bow on this magenta & white dress from Charlotte Russe! And the shoes have a little bow that match it as well :) This was my favorite look of the shoot. It's a very cute and simple look for a girls night out or even a nice date!

My second look was a black and white hi low dress! The zipper detailing and the sequins really make the dress something special. It'd be super cute for a school dance or a nice dress up dinner. The shoes were amazing- the ankle straps gave it a nice pop of detail :)
