Nerd Alert!

Inspired by the super warm East Bay weather and all its hotness, I chose this midi classic pleated dress from H&M, brown booties from Shoe Dazzle, and my nerdy librarian glasses I got from Taiwan.
After 1 year of planning (and failing) to shoot. I finally got a chance to do a photoshoot with Ed Tran Photography! Hooray!

Purse from Alexis Hudson!

Curly hair: yay or nay?

Necklace was only $3!

And as usual, a candid to end my post :)

Pug Life

You can't see it...but my t-shirt says "Pug Life"! I love this shirt from Macy's (clearance for about $4) and found it in the men's section a while back. I couldn't resist and I admit that it really doesn't hurt to plow through the men's section for cool graphic tees once in a while. This jacket was also from the men's department in Taiwan. Three of my four jackets I purchased there are actually men's- they just seemed to fit better. The plaid sleeves really caught my attention and it's definitely one of my favorites in my closet right now. The circle skirt from F21 I'm wearing has been featured before many times (like here) and I thought it'd be a cute duo with the graphic tee.

Since it's half-Winter and half-Spring in the beautiful city of San Francisco, I threw on some knee high socks from H&M to keep my legs warm from the cold wind. Topped it off with my go-to black Jessica Simpson pumps and you're ready to go for a girls night out :)

Polka Dots & Knee Highs

It is day 2 in Taiwan and I have yet to see the sun! It's not particularly cold but it was colder than I expected it to be- just a smidgen warmer than San Francisco. Since I was just going street shopping with my sister, I wanted to keep it simple with a flare with some velvet shorts, stockings, and knee high socks! I always find this combination to be a go-to look whenever I don't want to go super dressy but want to look presentable to the public without going into sweatpants mode.
These shorts are super soft from Brandy Melville (they have super soft everything) and these are perfect for lounging around or in this case- a bit dressed up! My sweater is from J. Crew and it was on super sale (hooray). The texture to me was so unique and really fluffy to the touch; it's a warm, creamy color and it would go great with casual pants (such as denim) as well. The cobalt blue side bag (J. Crew) is the perfect size for my phone, wallet, and iPad mini- it looks small but it actually has a good amount of space in there! My sister found these polka dot stockings for me in Taiwan and it was a bit cold for just stockings so I threw on a pair of knee high socks from H&M (comes in a 2-pack!), my trusty Charlotte Russe boots, and out for an adventure I went!

Time to explore in Taiwan :)

Purple Paisley Person

As the end of my Thanksgiving break comes along, I find myself digging for more and more outfits to wear to my family parties. It always seems to me that a nice sweater always feels fitting for the holiday season! For this look, I wanted to add a nice loud print and bright shoes to really make this gray sweater stand out.
Since this particular holiday get together was semi-formal, I wanted to wear a paisley button down I snagged from J. Crew Outlet (on sale) and this soft gray Gap sweater to wear over to keep it casual and just to layer up for warmth. Just because it was warmer in the East Bay than in San Francisco, I decided to roll up my sleeves so that the print on the shirt would be able to show a bit more. In any occasion, a ultra-black skinny jean (from H&M) are my go-to pant. It's comfy, casual, and chic! I love this look for any family dinner or even a nice lunch date!
To really polish up the outfit, a pair of bright purple heels! I'm not entirely sure as to why I love wearing purple things- it just always seems to be the perfect pop of color! These heels from Dolce Vita (from Last Call! Neiman Marcus) are sure to make you stand out at any occasion. This statement necklace is from Macy's and I loved that the gray tone with the silver of the necklace. It really put me in the holiday mood because it jingled whenever I walked! :)
*Hope everyone had an amazing Thanksgiving and a successful Black Friday! <3

A Pop of Color

I love bold colors! Neon anything always stands out in a crowd and I love that pop of color for any outfit. It was one of those rare sunny days in San Francisco so of course I had to take advantage and dress nicely for the weather. Pops of bright pink, yellow, or green to any darker hues really brighten up my mood especially since it's Hump Day. And just on a side note, all the pieces in this outfit were under $15! :)
This neon knit sweater was sitting in the back of my closet begging to be taken out for a spin in the sun. I paired this with a simple circle skirt from Forever 21. And since it is San Francisco , I wanted to keep warm with these knee high socks that came in two pairs from H&M. For an added flare, I love these chevron laced booties from Charlotte Russe with the neon sweater- they were cute and super comfortable!

Love the print of this pullover!

Comfortable, chic, and affordable booties! :)

It's Halloween!

Happy Hallows Eve everyone! This year Halloween (unfortunately) fell on midterms week meaning I didn't have much time to put together a costume but no worries! There is always something in your closet that can become a costume! I definitely went to the mall this morning before class and bought this shirt haha. But otherwise, everything else was from my own closet!

From my feet going upwards to my head...
My shoes are from madewell and I love these so much! I fell in love with them so much that I have them in two colors: red and black.
The socks were from an old costume a couple years back, I think I was a nurse of some sort... But anyway, these thigh high socks are from the spirit halloween store (around $5).
The skirt is actually from J. Crew last season and you'll actually see me wear this skirt quite often in the winter time. I also loved this piece so much I have it in two colors (pink and navy blue).
My cute red and white crop top I found at Forever 21 for under $10 and I could definitely re-wear this piece with high-waisted anything!
Though Waldo's beanie is red and white striped- I made do with what I had and what I had was a red beanie! This piece is actually a men's beanie I found at H&M last season and since my favorite color is red, I had to have it! I'm glad it came in handy for Halloween :)

So many stripes!

Hiding behind alleyways and stairs!

Close up :) These are my real glasses!

Bow shoes (I can totally see this being used for a Dorothy from Wizard of Oz costume!)
