Pug Life

You can't see it...but my t-shirt says "Pug Life"! I love this shirt from Macy's (clearance for about $4) and found it in the men's section a while back. I couldn't resist and I admit that it really doesn't hurt to plow through the men's section for cool graphic tees once in a while. This jacket was also from the men's department in Taiwan. Three of my four jackets I purchased there are actually men's- they just seemed to fit better. The plaid sleeves really caught my attention and it's definitely one of my favorites in my closet right now. The circle skirt from F21 I'm wearing has been featured before many times (like here) and I thought it'd be a cute duo with the graphic tee.

Since it's half-Winter and half-Spring in the beautiful city of San Francisco, I threw on some knee high socks from H&M to keep my legs warm from the cold wind. Topped it off with my go-to black Jessica Simpson pumps and you're ready to go for a girls night out :)

A Lace-y Monday.

It is the first Monday back to school and it is getting cold here in San Francisco! Supposedly, the temperatures are to drop starting Wednesday and I wanted to take advantage of this bright Monday. So, I used to think that shorts in winter were not my thing but I've definitely come to find that they're super wearable in any season. I am not sure why SF has such strange weather (sunny and freezing at the same time) but through time I have figured out how to dress for the seasons here- by layering up!
I wore this look two ways: with a scarf & beanie and with a statement necklace- either way would work! These velvet shorts Brandy Melville were a steal from when I went shopping on Black Friday and I loved that they were mid-rise with a petal cut on the side. Since it was Monday (I was a bit lazy) I simple white went with a high low quarter sleeve shirt from Zara (on clearance ~$10) and tucked it in on the side to show off my waistline. A light gray knit cardigan (similar one here) is the perfect color for winter and this particular one from Abercrombie is one of my favorites because of the long length and the large pockets!
With simple outfits like this, it's super easy to dress up! Under my shorts, I went with these lace-y, maroon tights from Urban Outfitters to give the overall look a warmer feel. As mentioned before, booties are totally my obsession right now and these ones from Charlotte Russe (mentioned before here) were again, perfect. I left the house like this but I brought a heavy knit, cream colored infinity scarf from Forever 21 with me just in case it got cold. And with this being said, since I am very afraid of the cold (but still a lover of SF) I packed an emergency black beanie (H&M Men's) in my gold chain purse that I also snagged during Black Friday (50% off!) from F21.
I had a bit more time than planned today (hooray) so I accessorized a little!
A gold statement necklace (from the night markets inTaiwan) because gold-toned colors always look amazing with maroon shades. The three gold rings I had on are from three different places. The one on my pinky is a permanent residence on my hand because it's from my mom :) The second midi-ring is from Charlotte Russe (of course, I had to throw in somethin' sparkly!) and the third giant jewel ring is from the store JYJZ in the Westfield SF.
Remember to keep warm & remember that it's still Cyber Monday til midnight! ;)

How do you guys like my rose gold nail polish? :)

A candid photo to end my Monday :)

Menswear!

The selection of menswear button up shirts are definitely more diverse than women's- that's why sometimes I enjoy shopping in the men's (usually sale ;) ) section! I just feel like there is a lot more diversity & options to choose from.
I came across this comfy cotton button up from VANS and fell for the big, bold colors! Maroon and purple have really been catching my eye lately especially for the Fall season. Wanted to go comfortable for the weekend so I paired it with outside stitched leggings from 2020ave and an oversized tank from hurley with a black lace bandeau from Nordstrom Rack (great for brand name clothes at a discount price). Since we were wandering around and exploring the area, I opted for climbing and adventuring with combat boots! These ones are super durable, chic, and only around $20 at Marshalls! And to top it off (harhar) I threw a basic black beanie from F21on because as usual, I never know what to do with my not-long-not-short hair.
Anyhow, this look is perfect for venturing out to the middle of no where and for fun adventures whenever you're out and about! Happy wandering!

Suspenders, Leather, & Plaid!

Leather detailing is such a great detail to add to simple looks such as this one! The plaid shirt with the leather pocket detailing is so versatile and a great look to this season- I love it! This look could definitely be done with a smaller mens button up as well; I find that mens button ups seem to have more variety of prints than women's button ups.

This MAJE leather skirt with suspenders was such a cute detail to add to a simple skirt, I felt like it really brought the outfit together! It could be dressed up with some heels or boots (booties too!) but I decided to keep it casual with a pair of sandro sneakers to make it fun and comfortable. :)

Tucked in the button up for a lumberjack look!

Untucked for casual & trendy streetwear

sneakers with studs and amazing leather detail!
